Intermediate: Wolfhound Stich!

This classy stitch is prevalent in fashion and you have seen it, but even though it looks cool, it doesn’t mean it’s hard to re-create(not always). This will require two colors.

For this pattern I will just be making a regular old rectangle

Pattern:

Row 1: Chain 11

Row 2: Sc into the 2nd stitch away form you and SC into each stitch, chain 1

Row 3: SC into that 1st stitch, then DC, and alternate till you reach the

end and before you chain one switch chain , now here you will use that

new color and to do so, take your other color and make a starting knots

and SLS like so

Row 3: since the last stitch was a DC, make a SC, and once again

alternate till the end. In order to ‘carry over’ the opposing color, crochet

over that thread and hold it across the front like so-

Continue with this alternating pattern of stitches and colors, refer back to rows 2 and 3.

As you are starting to see a pattern, you will continue like this until your desired length, you can make it longer or wider, you can make blankets, it’s a very versatile pattern and to finish off with two rows of SC in any of the two colors.
