These little blog/post are just me either announcing something or just yapping, in this case, to start off I’m just gonna give my crochet history in brief.

I started crocheting in early middle school, and I didn’t actually learn to crochet anything for a long time. I started learning with nylon thread which made learning a bit harder since I got tired pretty quickly. The group of ladies who taught me and my mother were also learning so we really just learned as we went. I made lots of rectangle strips, not really for any purpose but slowly I started making shapes, and playing with soda tabs since nylon yarn can handle aluminum pretty well. I eventually discovered yarn was a thing and pretty much made headbands and bandanas for years. I also live in a pretty cold area so headbands became hats, and then gloves(still don’t like making them). I also make bags, that mainly came form the ladies I learned from, they taught themselves to make bags with soda tabs so that is something I always wanted to do when I was younger. Thankfully I have been able to fulfill that goal and I’ve slowly built my knowledge. Little tip- keep a notebook, and write down patterns you like. 1) It’s good practice to read and write patterns, 2) It helps with memory!

I now make garments like tops and bags, and I usually make them just because I can and want to but I also love making gifts. Which has also pushed my skills, from working with wires to figuring out sizing, it’s a fun challenge and you can surprise somebody!

*do not gift ppl blankets, it’s bad luck, I’m not totally sure why, it’s just something I’ve always heard.*

That’s kinda it, I’m in college now, I still crochet(when I have time) and I have improved and it’s something I find doing to destress or entertain myself. There really isn’t anything beyond that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
