I’m not sure if that is how you spell crocheters(plural), if you do, let me know if you’d like, but what I do know is that since Covid shuttered us indoors, many people learned to crochet, and a boom of crochet content surfaced. You may know some of the individuals below, but I would love just to share some cool creators and what they do, and how you can reach their content. This will be more of a list, rather than a ranking, so in no particular order…
Yaejiyea
Yeajiyea is an awesome content creator, she’s on youtube where she has plenty of lengthy tutorials and TikTok. and she does an great job walking through the process of pattern making just as much as crocheting. As you can probably tell, she crochets cloths, stylish and cute, from dresses to cardigans, she does a lot. She has a lot of cools stuff on her instagram as well, and it’s always fun to to see her process in action.
The Knotty Chef
The Knotty Chef is creative and fun with his adorable crochet food Creations! He is on TikTok, Instagram and Youtube. He also has a shop filled of fun amigurumi stuffies of good quality. You will find blueberries, pretzels and reindeers with cute hats, it’s a foodie yarn menagerie.
Wickedly Handmade
Wickedly Handmade is a small business run by Andrea and Todd Williams, and they specialize in spooky alt-esque crafts, selling patterns, crochet garments and really cool one of a kind crochet hooks. They also have some spooky goods like earning and such. They are on TikTok, Instagram and Youtube(duh) and they just are a cool small business who deserve all the love they get.
Crochet Box-By Brenda
I’m starting to see a pattern here… A small business based in Sydney, Crochet Box is on TikTok, Instagram and Etsy, where she sells Patterns and plushies. A lot of her content is on Instagram, so I would definitely recommend scrolling on her profile and just looking at all the pretty plushies. Their so cute!
ImNotRosy
Another small business! ImNotRosy is on TikTok and Instagram and she has plenty of cute handbags and hair accessories. She does have a couple of patterns but only a few. Her goods have a very signature coquet vibe with a touch of grunge. personally I love all the color pallets of pinks and reds she utilizes and it is very apparent as soon as you see any of her profiles.
I know five people isn’t a lot but I think all the creator above are pretty cool and you should check them out, wether it be their shops, channels or profiles. All of the creators above have tons more on their pages to explore and who knows, maybe you’ll be inspired or motivated. 🙂
